Loctite EA 9321 Two Component, Thixotropic Epoxy Paste Adhesive that retains high strength in elevated temperatures
Loctite EA 9321 s a two component, thixotropic paste adhesive that exhibits a tough durable bond and retains its strength at elevated temperatures. This innovative epoxy paste will cure at room temperature. Part A is gray in color and part B is off white, once the two components are mixed together thoroughly, the color of the adhesive will be gray. This product is also known as Hysol EA 9321.
Loctite EA 9321 Aero Part A has a viscosity of 200-800 Poise at 77°F. Part B viscosity is 2,900-7,100 Poise at the same temperature. Density of the mixed product is 1.23 g/ml. The two components need to be mixed prior to application of substrates that need to be bonded. Temperature of material is not critical, but it is recommended that it be as close to room temperature as possible. Mix ratio is 100 of part A by weight to 50 of Part B by weight. 450 gram mass of Loctite EA 9321 will have a pot life of 40 minutes at 77°F per ASTM D2471 in water bath.
When mixing the two components, precautionary measures need to be taken. Quantities of 450 grams or less are recommended when mixing because uncontrolled decomposition of the adhesive may occur due to heat buildup. Handling strength will occur in 24 hours. To achieve normal performance, the adhesive needs to be cured for 5 to 7 days at room temperature. Accelerated cure can be achieved up to 200°F for small masses only. Loctite EA 9321 compressive strength at room temperature is 9,280 psi and the dielectric constant at 1 KHz IS 4.81. Consult a Krayden Technical Representative for more information.

Before handling, it is recommended to understand the handling precautions and disposal information that is stated on the Loctite EA 9321 Aero MSDS. As with most epoxy based systems, adequate ventilation is required to air out vapors during application. The adhesive has a service temperature of approximately 250°F per ASTM D1002. It is very important to remove excess adhesive from work area before it hardens. Most common industrial solvents are suitable for removing the uncured Loctite EA 9321 Aero. Shelf life for both Part A and B is 1 year when it is stored at 40°F. For more information, contact Krayden and a trained representative will answer any questions that you may have.
