Alpha CVP-520 Solder Paste has a melting point of 140 degrees Celsius, used effectively with top reflow profiles between 155 and 190 degrees Celsius. It is strongly recommended to refrigerate CVP-520 solder paste at a temperature of 0 to 10 degrees Celsius to assure stability. If this product is refrigerated at the suggested temperature, the shelf life is about 6 months. It can be stored at room temperature for up to two weeks prior to use. If this paste is refrigerated, it should be permitted to sit out for four hours allowing it to reach 19 degrees Celsius or greater before unsealing. This is extremely important because it will avoid moisture condensation build up in the solder paste. Alpha CVP-520 residue is designed to stay on the stencil after reflow, residue cleaner such as Alpha BC-2200 is recommended.
